Dido Hits RIAA Triple-Platinum With 'NO ANGEL' Debut Album as It Peaks At #4 On Billboard 200 Album Chart Wednesday March 21 12:02pm EST NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--March 21, 2001-- "Here With Me" issued as new U.K. single, with Dido's first headlining tour of Europe in full swing "Thank You" current U.S. single gets 'Deep Dish' remix, as anticipation builds for upcoming U.S. summer tour Arista recording artist Dido, who is currently in the midst of her first headlining tour of Europe in advance of her headlining summer tour of the U.S., is celebrating the announcement that her debut album NO ANGEL was certified triple-platinum by the RIAA on March 5th, for U.S. sales in excess of 3 million copies NO ANGEL contains "Here With Me" and Dido's current single "Thank You." The album attained its all-time peak position of #4 on the Billboard 200 Album chart after more than 40 weeks, and ranks as Soundscan's #4-selling album of 2001. It also holds the #2 position on Soundscan's unpublished Alternative Albums chart and #3 on the Alternative Albums Core chart where it was #1 for 6 weeks. Dido also holds the #1 spot at both the Modern AC and Adult Top 40. In England, NO ANGEL is certified double-platinum and stays at #1 on the national chart for a 4th consecutive week. "Here With Me," theme song of the WB's popular sci-fi tv series, Roswell, was released in the U.K. on February 12th as Dido's new single. The song can also be heard on Arista's original motion picture soundtrack album for the current Miramax film, Bounce. Dido is currently on-tour in Europe where the album is also a top 10 entry in France, Germany, Italy and Finland. "Thank You," whose video was directed by the ever-popular Dave Meyers, continues in rotation on both MTV and VH1. "Thank You" attracted worldwide attention when it turned up in May 2000 as the interlude sample on Eminem's " Stan," a track from The Marshall Mathers LP. Later in the year, Dido was featured in the "Stan" video, an MTV staple that followed-up "The Real Slim Shady."
